Red henna, super-strengthened powder with sodium picramate (Lawsonia inermis L.)

PROPERTIES: used in cosmetics for the preparation of hair dyes.

PREPARATION: Dissolve the henna powder in hot water, the amount varying depending on the length of your hair; the ratio is about 2-3 tablespoons of henna for every tablespoon of water, so as to form a paste that is neither too runny, which would drip from your hair, nor too thick, which would be difficult to apply evenly.
Add 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar (or lemon, tea, yogurt) to the mixture to better fix the color and then apply it to dry hair for about 45-50 minutes, rinse and proceed with shampoo.

WARNING: for best results, it is best if the hair has not undergone any previous chemical treatments.
